white hart
to your red-eared hound
white swan
on your seas incarnadine
white ash
to your ruddy flame
(be it wood un-burned
or wood forever changed)
the white
unto the red is sacrificed
you'll find, my love
you need not ask me twice.

this doesn't feel like a poem - it feels like sacred writing. I can almost smell the embers of a banked fire and the soft chants of acolytes. have you drawn an image to accompany this one - i would love to see that as well if you have.
"the white
unto the red is sacrificed
you'll find, my love
you need not ask me twice"
That is a powerful ending. Really intense, spare and masterful.

"....white swan

Well written, girlfriend. Don't see that word often enough.
