'Fairy Godlover' by Devi Sparks

Length: novel
Publisher: Phaze
Genre: erotic romance M/F (ebook)
Kelsey is a dedicated charity worker with an overworked vibrator but no man in her life for several years. Sebastian is a fairy guardian for children who somehow gets assigned to a very desirable fully grown women instead. The book opens with his appearance and Kelsy's hilarious and utterly believable response. Kelsey is a wonderful and very sympathetic heroine who is likeable throughout.
The only fly in the ointment is that at the end of his assignment Sebastian will have to leave, and the reader is never really left in much doubt that they will find a way around that. The middle section of the book is essentially a long series of sexual scenarios as Sebastian and Kelsey explore the sensual and developing romantic possibilities between them.
It is easy to see why many people love with book which is funny, romantic and sexy. Personally I found the lack of any substantial plot through the middle of the book something of a flaw. The one obstacle is introduced at the very beginning and soved at the very end. The sex in between was pretty good but I prefer something to be going on outside the bedroom as well ;) YMMV.

REVIEW: Adam and E-V-E Bridget Midway

Length: novelette
Publisher: Phaze
Genre: erotic romance M/F (ebook)
Adam is a human soldier and E-V-E a cyborg. They are sent, apparantly alone, to defend the world against the attack of a giant robot and the answer turns out to be sex. Okay, so the plot is implausable, but in a cheerful pop-sci fi sort of way that justifies the 'make love, not war' premise of this short story.
Adam has a few issues with robots, and doesn't yet know that E-V-E has enhancements beyond the chip in her brain. E-V-E has never thought of herself as human until a sudden sexual awakening changes her perspective. 'Adam and E-V-E' is a fairly quick read, but fun. There is some steamy sex and just enough plot and characterisation to be a fully developed story.
