Habeus GreenusYay. despite being off the main page now Father of Dragons has clawed its way back up to #10 on the Samhain best seller list again. Some people might hold off on a celebration for a #1 spot but I celebrate every change I get. That is the key to being a happy small press author.
I also hope it will mean a pick up in my earnings. Because, boys and girls, this is what happens to the earnings of a ebook writer who hasn't released anything new in a while. (More metaphorical depiction available at the top right). ;)
Habeus Greenus [May]So, May earnings were:$500 I would consider this:good
I had some back royalties come in from a previous period, so this is more than I normally make in a month with no new release. I need to get writing, I have only one work in edits and need to get some more queued!

So one of the things I will be doing now is discussing how much I make at this writing game (i.e. not all that much, but I do have a day job). Towards the end of of the month, when all the cheques are in for the previous month, I will discuss how it went--giving earnings rounded to the nearest hundred dollars.
So, April earnings were: $900 I would consider this: very good
That amount is pretty good for me and mainly down to having a new release in April. Ebook sales are always massively higher in the first month when the book is new and displayed on the publisher's front page. Next month's figures will probably be down to around half of this amount.

She is also an illustrator, crafter, blogger, poet, reviewer, adventuress and general purpose smart ass. If you don’t like Emily Veinglory you probably
won’t like this blog. If you do like Emily Veinglory you still might not like this blog. But if you Google Emily Veinglory you may well end up on this
page, and learn the answer to the question: Who the hell is Emily Veinglory?**
* hybrid of a pen name and an online avatar.
** How’s that for keyword density?***
*** That was a rhetorical question.
