RAIN SHADOWS
beneath the leaning
trees - faint stripes
of arid soil
point towards water
sycamore seeds fall in
the cracks - and grow
thriving on false hope
but I know
there is no room
on this river bank
for anyone else
to grow tall

poetryMONDAY
Hmm, yes--another haiku. Blame it on my short attention span.
in rythm and dance
black branches crochet the storm --
the stars are unmoved
[poemtrain]
p.s. as of right now (it may not last) Father of Dragons made it into the top ten bestsellers at Samhain (see left column)
